Principle of operation

The "standard" opening procedures are fixed in the Cover application. Any modification, adaptation or addition to the opening procedures must be carried out by Cover Group and will be carried forward for all existing and future settings.

Since version 2.1 of Cover, the XLib application provides tools for creating and customizing dynamic opening procedures, which give more independence for the parameterization of opening information.

This makes it possible, for example, to :

  • Manage a left/right opening sash in the same sash structure using a user choice.
  • Manage in the case of sliding frames, the number of leaves, position of the leaves on the rails, with the help of user choices
  • Customize the hardware properties on the different bars of the structure
  • Manage frame structures with several contiguous meshes, even if these meshes are not in the same plane (vertical or horizontal)

Note: The functionalities of the dynamic opening processes are only operational for dynamic opening processes existing in the library being configured and do not allow in any case to create or modify "standard" opening processes.

Parameterization of a dynamic opening process

The dynamic opening processes are accessible via the menu :

Settings/opening procedures/dynamic opening procedures

When creating an object of type "Dynamic opening process", the settings window appears

  1. General :
  • Condition: Visibility condition of the dynamic opening process in the list of openings of a construction model.

  • Code : Parameterisation value (see Code)

  • Quinc Code : Parameterisation value (see CodeQ)

    • This value can be queried by CodeQ or CG_OF.CodeQ
    • For compatibility with a setting made for "standard" opening processes, refer to the agreed definition (see Hardware Code)
  • Nbre Elements : Maximum number of leaves to be created in the opening process

    • Value : Integer or expression resulting in an integer
  • Orientation of division: Direction of the division of the mesh when integrating the leaves

    • Vertical
    • Horizontal
    • Z
  • Procedure: "Sash definition procedure" type procedure containing the process definition information

  • Translated name : Text object which will be displayed in the sash selection list of the construction model

  • Ext Image: Path to the image file, in *.bmp or *.X2D format, representing the opening procedure in external view. This image will be displayed in the list of opening options of the construction model when the window (or door) editor is in external view.

  • Image Int: Path to the image file, in *.bmp or *.X2D format, representing the opening procedure in internal view. This image will be displayed in the list of opening options in the construction model when the window (or door) editor is in interior view.

  1. Variables :
  • Variable tree for defining user choices
    • The values of these variables can be interrogated using CG_OF.

Definition of a dynamic opening procedure

Dynamic opening procedures are defined using the menu of a procedure of type "Sash definition procedure" including the information for defining the opening procedure

This type of procedure can access the information of the objects:

  • O.
  • CG_OF.
  • S.
  • parent_s.

Integration of a dynamic opening process in a construction model

In a similar way to what is implemented for "standard" opening processes, dynamic opening processes are associated with the construction model of the opening structure, via the Dynamic Opening tab.
