Recovering section of an existing provider

Using this method, we'll see how to easily retrieve sections from another provider. The advantage of this method is that you don't have to go through the traditional method of creating a section.

• simplification (detailed and simplified sections)
• X2d Creation (layers,...)
• definition of materials (if already done)

First, you need to use the Excel file

Setting_Help.xlsm

and the X2D file vierge.x2d

The 2 files can be installed anywhere on your computer but must be in the same place.

• 1 - Open the excel file in the "References" tab
• 2 - Go to column "A
• 3 - write the references you wish to retrieve without extension
• 4 - press the button

• 5 - choose the path where the X2D files will be saved
• 6 - do a mass import of the sections into the provider by choosing the option that allows the articles to be created at the same time.
• 7 - retrieve the XSEs for the sections in the reference provider (rename them if necessary, as the XSEs must have the same names as in the new Provider)
• 8 - Replace the XSEs in the new provider with those in the reference provider.

now if you open the sections in the editor you will have the sections defined with the layers

• 9 - check that the materials are correctly defined
